1st time experience!First, sitting is very limited location is to small for how popular it is; we had to sit outside while it was cold but the heaters and a jacket did the job. Wait staff is on point, they did not fail. The food: for a nice meal and a drink it’s great, a bit pricey compared to other places based only on quality not quantity of the product. We had a great time and will be dining here again soon.

Last night was my first experience at Republica and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the ribeye Rockefeller con Camaron and it was delicious. We ordered the chicken tenders for my son and he absolutely love them as well. For desert, we ordered a cheese cake with guava and it too was awesome!The only criticism I have for this place, and it is petty, is the napkin that is given. I would expect a high-end place like this to only have linen and not a small paper napkin. Other than that, this place was spectacular! I hope on my next visit that there are linen napkins and not the small paper ones. It should be standard that all high-end restaurants have this. Also, someone needs to fix that toilet seat cause it’s very loose and my son almost fell off of it

Visited Laredo for the first time for a work trip and this was my first restaurant we chose. Our server was extremely polite and kind. Was very respectful and checked in with us in the perfect amount of time. The food was incredible. We ordered the Rib Eye Molcajete with extra shrimp, and the rib eye tacos with Beef marrow. The Molcajete with red sauce was incredible and I highly recommend it. It's enough to share with two people. I look forward to coming back!

This place is a bit pricey, but we'll worth the scratch!! The menu is impressive, the bar selections are top notch, and the service is excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.

The soup with chicharrones on top was delicious! The small cup is all you need super flavorful. The tacos were quite good, ask for in house hot sauce. Is pricey but good quality.

Great mexican fine dining experience. If you're looking for a place to have a nice and fancy dinner with great cocktails, this is the right spot. To start, we got the "Ostiones Rasurados" that come with some serrano peppers and onion salsa, they were very fresh. As main dish, we got the "Rib eye with bone marrow al piquin", we asked for the rib eye to be cooked medium rare but unfortunately they brought it fully cooked which made the meat to taste a little dry, however, the flavor itself was pretty good tho, it also came with asparagus nicely cooked, some Charro beans which was pretty good as well. Additionally, we got the Grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor too, it came with grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes (this last one was just plain good, nothing outstanding). To drink we got a few cocktails, one was the Gin Pink, which I loved, my partner got a couple of Mezcal cocktails (can't recall the name) and both were pretty good. Finally we got a Carajillo that was extremely good, we loved to have it after our dinner. The service was good, a little slow but might be because the place was pretty crowded. Prices are high but the quality and quantity you get for what you pay is definitely good. We'll definitely come back to try out more dishes and cocktails.

The meat was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the fresh ingredients and delicious salsa. Every bite was a delight.The atmosphere of the cantina was vibrant and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience.If you’re looking for a place with outstanding drinks and mouthwatering tacos, República Cantina de Mexico is definitely worth a visit!
